Hello everyone ,
Galactosemia could be associated with E.Coli sepsis. Do you have any explanation for this ?
Bacterial infections (E.Coli) are common in untreated galactosemic infants and I think the reasons is multifactorial like colitis, malnutrition, lethargy etc.so that may lead to decrease in immunity. So mutiple episodes of diarrhoea can imbalance gut flora.
So many factors can cause bacterial infections in secondary lactose intolerence.
