Hi BBB,
you have been an incredible help so far. thank you. i do have one more question for you.
my problem is that ecfmg has not sent my medical TRANSCRIPT to my medical school for verification yet. they have done so for my diploma but not the transcript. i think it will take atleast a month for my transcript to be verified by my school through the ecfmg. my question is that can i still apply for residency without my transcript being verified. would programs invite me for interviews just based on my step1 score, USCE and LOR's? the application date starts in about 10 days and i think itll take atleast a month, i dont want to lose out on interviews because of this formality.

Yes, program directors would accept transcripts to come in after the offering of an interview.

Hey,

I wanted to ask isnt it ERAS which sends the transcripts to the PDs....and ECFMG needs the transcript for verification of your records...so even if your transcript has not been verified, wouldnt ERAS send in your transcript to the PDs???

But that was my decision to not go into medical school. That and the fact that I hate math, science and chemistry. :wink:

Check the ERAS and NRMP web sites - it will give you all the information that you need to know if you about applying for the upcoming match
