Hi, I failed my first attempt on the STEP 1, with 67, then I failed my first attempt on the step 2CK with 73, but I passed the Step 1 the second time with a low score of 79. Now Im preparing for the STEP 2CS, and then I will prepare the STEP 2CK, again. Do I have any chance of getting in a residency program ever in my life?.

Yes, I came to know during my application query to hospitals that there are some programs who doesn't need USMLE cut off score and they need candidates to pass USMLE in no more than 2 attempts. Hope this will relieve you slightly. But it does matters whether you are an IMG or AMG.

thank you for your answer you give some fresh air to keep on going, I'm an IMG from Spain. Do I have any advange if I have my green card in progress? Do you know, which residency is easier to get in? what about surgery or GYN/Ob?, and the last quest, at which state is easier?. Thank you so much and good luck with your applications!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lo, You are already one step ahead of me. You are in the process of getting greencard. That is for quite sure will be a very good advantage for you. Programs especially look for candidates with greencard or PR status. Be happy friend. Apply to NY. MI,PA, CT, DC, IL, IN, WV, TX. They are FMG friendly.
