there is no rash in ehrlichiosis(caused by E. chaeffensis/E.equii)
RMSF(rocky mountain spotted fever)--caused by Rickettsia rickettsiae --rash is petechial; appears on 3-6th day
other Sx r the same--myalgia/ fever/ malaise
