Hi BBB I got 82 in step 1. I got 77 in step 2 . Today I got my step two score and i am really shocked with it. but cant help , i have to accept it. what are the chances of getting some H1 visa residency in Internal medicine or Family practice? thank you in advance. Akash

akash, mere bhai an h1 on these scores wud be nothing short of miracle.. ur best bet is to apply to many peds and fp and psychi progs - esp those which are img friendly and sponsor j1 and are in the remote areas. u have ur scores in time. best thing is to give s3 before sept and apply with s3 scores and get usce. try places like st barnabas and those other ny progs - who knows maybe u might just get a prematch. but i wudnt count on it.. apurva

if you are really interested in doing your residency in the USA, no matter which hospital, then follow the advice of doc droc apurva. improve your CV this year and apply for the next match. But you'll have to fight for comm programs which sponsor J1 visas, etc. Good Luck!!. Which residency do you wanna do?

No reply might mean they don't have an answer for you or the people who answer lots of questions are out of town, or they don't want to discourage you. Good luck
