What does this mean
We accept, but do not sponsor, the J-1 visa only.
If a program does not sponsor J1, can someone who holds another type of visa like f2 or h4b still have a chance to begin that program...what is the procedure ,sorry about my ignorence about visa issues

Programs technically do not sponsor a J1 visa - they accept the fact that ECFMG will sponsor the visa.

I am so confussed...and so sorry if this is going to be a very silly question...I have emailed a program for 2005 application process and they have responded
" we do accept fmg's however, you must be a citizen of the US or be a permanent resident ( greencard). We do not sponsor any visas""

If ECFMG sponsors the J1 why this porgram responded me like this way.If ECFMG sponsors the J1 the program has nothing to do with J1,isn't it right???..I am an H4 holder right now,if we only think about the visa issue right now,Can I still be eligible for their program..Should I apply or not...Please help guys...

This means that this program will not sponsor any visas. If you need a visa, don't apply to this program. ECFMG doesn't mandate that every program has to take IMGs.
