Hey ELM ,dont say like that.
Your score is really great for me considering from where you started.
And for me usmle doesnt judge us well,its just a report of one days performance.
So dont ever feel like that.
Your score also mean something for all of us-it tells us that with hard work and dedication you can win any difficut task in life.

Many many congrats ELM .I was just browsing internet yesterday and found this site for the very first time.I read your story .It is really inspirational.You are a hard worker for sure and you deserve success in life.I graduated about three years ago,got married ,came to US ,had a baby ,and didn't know where to begin .But after reading your story i am determined to start studying while taking care of my one year old .Any suggestions you would like to give me?Your advice would be very much appreciated .I would be very glad to hear from you.Love,Roma

Sorry my late returning to you...... i don't visit this part of the forum that often..... was just looking today found your post!
Thanks for the nice words!
It's gonna be little hard for you to find time to study with your little man..... but you absolutely can do it only if you wanted.... well i know that you wanted....... so see how much time you can spend per week and make a schedule according to that and just stick to it no matter what! ..... but you know your baby has to be the first..... but other things.... like everyday life caos or anything like that shouldn't interfere with your schedule!
Look for preferred books ( you can see what i have used...... they was enough) and get them ....and just master them! This is all i can say! You have to be disciplined by your schedule! All that matters is how much time and effort you can put into this test!
Hope this would help you and remember you can do this for your baby!

Hello tdr,
Onestly that's one of the hardest qs i ever encountered, ............ really i have no idea how many qs i answered wrong or correct......... i couldn't even remember qs after the test......... seemed i did bad after the exam..... becuase many of those obscure genetics qs and terrible mol.biology qs....... not to mention new drugs........ but after all i was done with it! ..not that good score but Thank the God! But you seems you had control of the test becuase remembering all these qs showes me that you had everything under contral during the test! How was your practice test scores? If there were ok you should not be worried too much less you had to get 99/270+!
Don't worry too much now..... everything is over..... there is nothing you could do about it now! Enjoy your time between the tests such like this and get ready to start Step 2 preparation if you have to take it soon!

Hey ELM,
I am really impressed,you did an awesome job.I was very upset today especially cause my exam date is closing in and I was so upset and wanted to giveup.This thing is darn hard,I have been studying for the last 3 months and I dont think that I am doing that well at remembering stuff, I thought this thing is impossible.But seriously after reading your post I am all pumped up to give it all I can.I know I am most probably gonna postpone it but I am not gonna give up.

I am glad my little post still help for others! Just wanna say .......keep going till the end...since you started you gotta finish .....you have to see the end.......and you will surprised!!!!!! Beleive me it seems now endless......... but it will end in matter of 8 hours and you will be done with Biochem and Mol.bio FOREVER!!!!!!! It's just great after you have done with it! So the finish is near ...... THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ?!?!?! GO FOR IT!!!!!!!
Dayamanti...... i feel for you......you have whole family and the little one too! This should make you even stronger becuase you know that they are depending on you! So be strong and do your best! I KNOW YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN YOU THINK!

Secondly: I really appreciate your sincere comments about your Step 1 exam experience. That was lovely from you. I am really feeling in a similar situation to that you were experiencing before taking the exam. And I was about to give up. you helped me not to do so...
Third: I'm not the only one you gave that strength to accomplish such an aim. I could see that many of those who read your post have been touched by your words.
Finally, I must tell that you may have been inspired by God when typing that. With those lines you may have certainly changed many lives. You are an angel!!!!!
