 Type IV hypersensitivity

Hello, I was reading FA and there is one sentence about type IV hypersensitivity: "Cell mediated; therefore, it is not transferable by serum."

I don't know what it means. Can anybody help me?

Thank you! I guess what you tried to say was "it is localized". I just don't know why it won't transfer to another site.
