hi if a child is given a dpt and does not respond well, further investigation indicates that his antibodies are not opsonizing tt for phagocytosis what is wrong? oh his b and t lymph r nl

This sounds similar to a q posted by bm and I think it has something to do with a complement deficiency, specifically C3b, which makes opsonization receptors on phagocytes. But I don't know much else. The B and T's should be normal in this case. ???

c1 c2 and c4 deficiency...ie opsonization is not efficient LAD
