Bbb can you teach us how CV should be written.I saw some comercial sites and they are asking more than 500$ just to teach you that thing.

And I have been doing it for free? What was I thinking????

Let me dig through some material that I have and report back!

I have thought about this today, and with the ERAS system, for an initial application, you don't need a CV. The way that you enter the information in the application, it prints the CV from that information.

Okay - for those that do need a CV, let's figure this out logically:

Contact information - top of the page. Let's not make it too fancy and keep it easy to read.

What are you applying for? One line: To find the best residency program... (complete this sentence)

Post Graduate information: Especially important if you have worked since graduation.

Medical School: What name, location, date of graduation and degree awarded.

Prior Education: Stop at High School. Prior to that will mean nothing to the program director

Research: especially if it's been published.

Licensure/Associations

Interests

You don't need to put in that you are married, 26 years old, etc. The PD can ask you if interested.

I was looking for some old notes that I had, and I still am looking (you don't want to know what the desk looks like), but I hope that this gives you a start.
