Are nerves derive from pharygeal arch or grow into the arch?

  #4

The cranial nerves are separate:
CN-V and CN-VII motor comes from the rostral pons/sensory is from
cranial neural crest.

CN-IX and X-motor-motor is basal plate of the medulla/sensory is from
cranial neural crest.
These are cranial nerves of branchiomeric origin!

For Pharyngeal Arch I also add MAXILLA, ZYGOMATIC SQUAMOUS PART
OF TEMPORAL BONE, PALATINE VOMER=.{MAXILLARY PROMINENCE}

Thanxs for replying mjl1717....cleared my point....

I think people say we only "have to know" the derivatives of also pharyngeal pouches and grooves #1? I'm kinda clueless in embryo - so any mnemonics would be appreciated there...I think pouch number one is involved in ear formation?

  #9

tubotympanic recess, eustachial tube, middle ear cavity, mastoid.
{No easy way that I know only hard core memorization!}
