Do you know how to get training in laparoscopic GI surgery(Minimally Invasive Surgery MIS) in US?
Can I go straigth to MIS after finishing 5yr reisidency training?
Is there any board certificate...

This type of surgery really appeals to me because it allows the surgeon to preform complex surgeries without making large incisions. My father recently underwent back surgery that utilized laparoscopic surgery to remove a ruptured disk in his lower back. After the procedure my Dad had a major reduction in his back pain and healed quickly. This type of surgery is going to continue to develop new procedures to repair damaged portions of the human body. What requirements must be met to become a laparoscopic surgeon?
