Hi all,

Mnemonic for substrates in the TCA cycle.

Kreb's cycle.

Citrate is Kreb's starting substrate for making oxaloacetate
(Citrate Isocitrate Ketoglutarate Succinyl-CoA Succinate Fumarate Malate Oxaloacetate)

NADH is produced while making OKS
FADH2 is produced while making F
GTP is produced while making S

Reversible steps F to M and M to O (Last three substrates - FMO).

Good luck all for your exam

Bye,

Amit Joshi

Reducing equivalents supplied by
"3,4,6 and 8 who do we appreciate"
Numbering 1 as Citrate and 8 as Oxaloacetate equivalents are supplied by the enzyme preceding this number.

Use in conjunction with your mnemonic for the TCA cycle
