Hey can someone please explain why prevalence can be calculated in a cross sectional study but not in a case control study?

Thank you,

Simply explaining:
- because Prevalence calculates data of an ENTIRE GROUP/POPULATION, but Case-control calculates data of SPECIFIC and already chosen persons.
