Old IMG 2004, Step 1 & 2 99. CS passed, need visa
Dermatology residency at premier institute in home country, 1 poster and 1 peer reviewed paper, both in International conference/journal.
Got a chance for neurology research at top univ, confused best way forward- research or observership- for 6mths (time remaining before sept)
Also do I have a decent chance of getting Neurology residency???
Really appreciate any Input
Observerships only bring letters. Observerships are really a waste of time, unless you are observing in a particular program where you want to match.
Research brings letters and Research publications/ experience/ and they like that in residency interviews.
That is great opportunity. You may link some aspects of dermatology with neurology such as phacomatoses. you should keep going. Wish you luck
Well during your research you can ask to observe. So u get to do both.
or is it bench research?
