thanks everyone!  i don't know if i'm just tired or what, i just feel so laidback even though i've been studying everyday. i'm like, i don't care what i'm gonna get in the exam, just get it over with!!! :x my back hurts, my neck, my arm... grrrrr... this better be good... :wink:

hmmm... so what i'm busy with? i'm just going through the routine- fa and goljan. fell asleep listening to his voice last night, and woke up with him still talking :lol: felt so tired...
still doing questions. wanted to do as much of qbank- still not done, and i've been doing 100 questions a day three days ago! :shock:
fa. i know i should know this book cold, but staring at it for hours, makes me bored. gotta keep at it... maybe i should read it fast. hmmm...

i am doing qbank and goljan more than simply reading fa. i just read fa if "i feel like it" is this ok. or is this bad? having to sit and spend time w fa is so boring compared to just doing questions and listening to goljan...

though i dont have experience...i feel that stick to what you feel like doing.do the questions for most of the time and goljan also...try to read fa in between when ur bored with the questions..

thanks kiranadi i'm so good at planning but when it comes to doing it, it's hard :lol:
i originally planned to just read fa front to back one more time (read it at the beginning of my study with kaplan notes) at the end of my study, but i sometimes find it boring so i go to the questions which are more stimulating instead. i listen to goljan while in the car, or when i'm eating, or before going to bed. these last days are so crazy!!! i still have lots of things i don't know, and keep forgetting :shock: i hope everything will turn out fine :wink:

i've been following ur dairy daily....u prepared very well..you will definetly come out with a good score.....so just stop thinking about the exam now...i know its easy to saythat..try to gain more concentration....just 3 days more after that u r a free bird :lol: :lol: :lol: :wink:

i'm not done with fa yet  i listened to goljan while sleeping and was worried so i rewound it to the part where i fell asleep. guess what... i found out that the concepts i supposedly missed (coz i fell asleep) i actually remembered without knowing why i picked that answer in qbank :lol: i guess my subconscious absorbed everything :wink:
i'll try to finish what i can today and focus more on qbank...

i agree w bluedusk about buzzwords and qbank
for me, qbank is a gist of the concepts in the kaplan books, and a bird's eye into the important us schools concepts. and since the formulators of the usmle questions are mostly us people, it's a good idea to do qbank to get into their heads. :wink:

hello everyone! just got out from the exam (whew!) and my first reaction after the exam, yey! i'm done! i don't know why, but i had that exhilirating feeling. during lunch break i wasn't hungry at all, just munched on four cookies and a bottle of water. my first block was all fuzzy (or my brain was), i felt i failed that entire block :shock: the subsequent blocks were not so bad after all...
does the exam adjust to how hard or how easy the prior blocks were? i felt like they were getting much easier as i went through each block. i hope that isn't the case, otherwise i would have bombed it! :shock:
what i would have done? study for a month, instead of the 6 months i so atempted :x
and in one month i would have listened to kaplan webprep for two weeks, then the last remaining two weeks concentrate on first aid and qbank, and goljan audio at the end of each day.
it's very much doable BUT they throw questions at you that YOU KNOW and yet you get confused at coz of the way they're asked (plus the anxiety). it closely resembles qbank, but like what a lot have been saying, a lot easier than qbank. what would have killed me in the test, was i forgot a lot of simple stuff ](*,)
ok, time for me to celebrate! hope i passed
