bm , you are doing good...about speed just take your time and concetrate on understanding the qs -That's what matters.Remember during the exam day time is not an issue in my opinion.
Keep on doing lots of qs and you will see yourself improving.
Remember little details in qs matter a lot .

thanks everyone  it's just frustrating coz i'm supposed to be in my revision month (i should be doing better than when i started studying). yeah, you're right. i should pace myself when doing questions. i keep missing one very crucial info. qbank presents the symptoms that make you feel you definitely know the answer, but when i go through the answers and explanations, i find out that i missed one crucial detail! :shock:
jsmart, don't worry about something you can do nothing about. it's done, you gave your best leave God the rest. what about preparing for step2 instead? that way you can put your mind to somewhere else after you're done partying whatever you decide to do, we're behind you :wink:

yey! i slept late last night by venting out my frustrations on my husband (poor hubby) and he gave me all the love i need thank you too for the people here who showed their support. i woke up late today, and now i'm ready to battle! 8)
mlf, there might be a good number of mol bio or there might not be. remember, most of the time we tend to remember the most, things that gave us the hard time in the questions. so i'm still hoping it is the case. but if not, i guess we have to do what we can to prepare for it.

still aiming for aug 27 moving it won't do any good, it would just give me more reason to slack. i guess all i have to do is keep reading first aid and listening to goljan, and doing questions. i still have to train myself to think like the usmle

i wud say do not postpone it coz i ve postponed it and now it seems i ve forgotten watever i had done 1 mth back..
try to take it on scheduled date until unless its a real emergency..

thanks mash! i was actually getting good scores 70%-80% two months ago, then all of a sudden i flopped back to a 40% this month! arrgh... :x
you're right mash, i should have nailed it on the head while it's hot. now i'm like, i know this, i know i've read this... #-o
so now i'm back to studying, studying, and more studying!

listened to biochem webprep this am. i'm dissecting 50 questions right now and looking at my books for in-depth explanations on some of them.

after dissecting questions i found out that:
1) they are familiar, common and presumably well taught by US med schools
2) they are important clinical dses in the US that you should recognize in your private practice
3) we know them! we just have to know what to look for (since we're using the same review materials)
4) don't jump into conclusions without reading the question carefully from their perspective
ok, after dissecting questions like this, let's see how i'd do with my subsequent questions...
