hi guys..i'm new to this forum..i gave my step 1 in mid july..my exam experiance was not that good..i think i screwd up in three or more blocks..although my q bank,kap test simulated and usmle cd score were good,i do not have any confidence going..
i scored around 82% on an average on kap q bank..kap simulated 82%..usmle cd 45,46,47..
In the real exam i got many question on neuroanatomy..most of them were solvable..behavioral science q were mostly on the physician patient relationship and ethics..pharmac was ok..but i think i made few blunders solving thesqs on pharmac..
i got many qs on genetics and cell and molecular biology..but not many on metabolism..
everybody told me that hese days they r giving many ct scans..but i got only two..
immunology and micro qs were easy..pathology i got 3 slides..one of them was difficult to recognise..in patho didnt get much qs on general path..
i'm getting tense day by day..i need a score above230..but i think i made mistakes in the real exam..and i dont kno how bad they r..

just chill. dont get so anxious, this is your time to relax. u will know soon how u did so try to keep your calm.
thanks for sharing the experience. u didnt mention bout physiology? what kinda questions u got on that?

sorry i forgot to mention physio..the qs i got in physio were mostly on renal physiology and endocrinology..as far as i remember i didnt get a single q on respiratory physiology..the qs on renal physiology were based on graphs..

so what did u study for physio? what helped answering those graphs?

i read kaplan physio notes..i think they r excellent notes..most of the graphs that i got were similar to those in kaplan..1 wk before exam i started reading first aid but physio in first aid is crap..so i instead i went thr the graphs one more time..it took time..but i guess it was fruitful..

what did u study for path? kaplan or goljan
how are the Qs on immuno

i studied goljan..i think it is far better than kap notes..and it will help u lot for step 2 also..for me i got not so difficult qs on immuno..
