Hi all friends,
Today i got my result and i passed Step 3 with 80 score. This was my 4th attempt. Last time i failed with 73 score. I so happy. At last bye-bye USMLE for ever. You have really drained me mentally, financially and physically.

Now race is to get into residency program. I am not sure this is going to happen or not with Step 1(83-1st attempt)/CK-78-1st attempt/CS passed-4th attempt/Step 3 passed-4th attempt/3months observership experience in US/One US physician LOR/6yrs. of home country house surgeon experience/1998 greduate.

good luck to all...
Hope you all get what you are aspiring for.

Let me party tonight. grin

Hi doctor4usmle,
you are right. I faced the same situation with me & someone said that i should not waste money but i proved them wrong.

I think I didn't prepare well in previous exams. when i got 66 score i read first aid, usmle world- only 70% of it, Kaplan q book & notes from prep4usmle site posted by arlete's only.

when i got 68 score i did UW q bank again, some first aid, some Toronto notes as i appeared for Canada medical council exam. 3 months before step 3, Kaplan CK-Psychiatry+ethics.

when i got 73 score i read toronto notes-more topics as i appeared for MCCQE-1, UW q bank again, step 3 live videos & made notes of that.

This time when i got 80 score i did Master the board for step 3, some live video notes, aster's notes, arlete's notes, neeraj notes from this website. also did some topic from Kaplan step 2CK-psychiatry, step2 ck obst. I think it was all collective reading from diff. sources since all these 2 yrs. helped me to pass this exam. & most importantly HIS ALMIGHTY GOD's blessings too.
Every time i had to travel by air around half the globe to appear for the exam.

now i am relieved. Thank you god & my friends who helped & inspired me.

good luck to all!

Hi Ravi Online!

I would like your advice!!! I've failed Step 3 x3 and now I'm feeling hopeless and helpless. I've done everything including Master of the Boards, Kaplan, UW, etc.
I am completing my residency training in psychiatry and I am afraid that if I do not pass the exam I would have to go back to my country because I am on J1 Visa. I'll take it again around March next year.

Hello Everyone! This is my first attempt at joining a support forum. I graduated from India in 1985. Then I passed my Step 1 and 2 in 2004 and 2005. I completed my residency in Psychiatry from USA in July 2011. And, this is my Fifth attempt at passing USMLE Step 3, the last time was in May 2012. I am terrified. I have started the Kaplan Online course. I would appreciate some help and support. Thank you.
P.S. I am the mother of an 19 year old and a 16 year old......
