just googled a bit. microinfiltration is part of invasive neoplasm, so i guess the neo cells should break through basement membrance...

3) its stromal invasion with a maximal depth of 5 mm measured from the base of the epithelium (diagnosed only by microscopy)

i remember reading something long ago about some tumor having a false capsule and tiny projections protruding out of the "capsule" that could only be seen by light microscopy.. but i can't remember which tumor, but i'm pretty sure that would be microinfiltration, wouldn't it? does anyone have any idea about what i'm talking about???
