My recommendations are (according to priority)- 1. Crush Step 2 2. Kaplan qbank 3. USMLEWORLD qbank 4. Kaplans Lecture Notes + Audio 5. Swanson's family practice review 6. Harrison's pre-test for Internal medicine 7. Pre-test series for rest of the subjects 8. Pre-test for rest of the subjects. Things which I wont recommend 1. Appleton and Lange 2. Blueprint series (though, many ppl use it) 3. CMDT (No more than a reference and its too difficult to pick out facts) PS: I am yet to take step 20 days from now but this is what I experienced from the prep.

Thank you very much for the recommendations! I checked online and found ppl selling these stuff. Some basic questions, is Kaplan notes divided into 15 categories? Is the 60 hours Kaplan audio and 64 videos highlight video standard ones? I saw the price varies greatly on these stuff and so can't help thinking what' s the difference? Could there be any trick if I get the cheap ones, say $30 for these all instead of the $160 of used ones from ebay? Sorry for the detailed question. Best luck with your exam!

I strongly recommend: 1. Blueprints series 2. CMDT for reference in internal medicine 3. Kaplan Q-bank 4. USMLEWORLD (the best source of questions!!!!) Don't spend money on Kaplan preparation course! It,s not worth it!

thank you for the reply. Somebody told me I should keep a Harrison's internal medicine or Washington manual for reference. I have no idea which one is better? Seems like more ppl are recommending CMDT.

U can use any of them for reference. Washington Manual is more concise and if u have any of them, just dont buy a new one. Reference is not a big deal most of the time. CMDT, inspite of many recommendations, is no more my favorite book. My personal opinions should not deter u though.

Hi, I took my step 1 on 30th july, and now I am waiting for result. I dont know what to do in this waiting period. I decided to take information about step 2 material. I have no book etc for step 2 CK. When I started studying for step 1, I took information from this forum, I got valuable information from meg, docotrjha and many others on step 1 forum. I searched E-bay but unfortunately there was only Kaplan stuff, and nothing that you people are recommending, like crush the boards, etc. Some one also told me about Goljans audio for step 2, which subject of Step 2 are his lectures about? And do you guys recommend it. Should I buy Kaplans lecture notes? Is its video or cd available on e-bay and is it worth buying? Have you used both Kaplans and USMLEWORLDs q-bank? And if you have studied for 3-4 months, when did you start these q banks (right from beginning or in last 2 months, I want to ask sequence of your prep and use of q-banks) Last of all, that should be first of all, that in this waiting period, should I buy step 2 material or should I study step 1 material as i am not sure about my result. Best of luck to all of you in your step 2 exam, sar.

Need help again! I got Kaplan's audio and notes but when I just found the audio doesn't correlates with its notes? Where can we find the notes correlates to the audio lecture? BTW, I got the 68 hours' audio. Thank you!!
