get kaplan notes, or blueprints for peds, med, psychiatry.
BRS obs/gynae.BRS behav science to supplement kaplan psychiatry.
since med is heavily tested, refer to CMDT for imp topics like hTN,DM,Heart disease.
kaplan surgery scores over all others.
do as many ques as yu can.

step 2 was okay.
its a doable exam.
medicine is haevily tested.
i studied from kaplan notes and they are sufficient. for med, one requires to look up CMDT for a few topics like HTN< MI< pericarditis/ COPD/ PE.
sleep well b4 the exam, teh exam really tests yur endurance besides knowledge.
do as many questions as yu can. thats the most imp part of the prep.
2 ct's 2 x- rays a couple of blood smears
2 -3 ecg's
every subject was well represented.
kaplan surgery is just too good!dont even peep anywhere else!
ob/gy is enoug h too. though BRS obs by same prof (sakala) is worth a look as it covers certail things which kaplan notes dont.
crush step 2 is highly recommendable supplement with yur notes and and provides a very comprehensive review in the end

Have you guys used Goljan audio for step 2? If you did.... how was it????? Since his step 1 audio is outstanding i am wondering how was his step 2 lectures.....Let us know guys if you used it!

Hi Ashok,
......regarding about the material for the test are Kaplan or BP's for review and few others for reference like CMDT.... Cecil ect.
The most important is how to master the concepts not what material we use!
For me i will get either one of these two and will do lot's of Qs.......... !!!
When are you planning to take the test?????

i dont know about goljan's audio.
didn't use them, heard they are good.
actually i heard that step 1 path is good enough for step 2 also.
so do check up b4 rushing in to buy them

I got 190/78. which is quit low, lets see what would be my score in STEP 2; hope of better.

I think my test date gonna be close to yours and my step 1 score is not whole alot more than yours ....mid 80s....i am going on a Cruise and will be back in end of Sep...and will start hitting the books then!
May be you could join in our step 2 team! We have bunch of guys who studied togerther for step 1 and our scores are reporting in these days... is matter of fact 2 of ours score reported this morning...2 was reported yesterday..... so if you wish you are welcome to join in our STEP 2 team!
