hey guys how you all doing!!!!!!!! i have 8 days left for my exam and i have been very sick for the last 3 days, so no review or reading have been done for these past 3 days, im gonnaa change my exam day and push it a week or 2 i guess, the main reason is sitting for long hours with no exercise,, did anybody get that? i can hardly move my back and ive got something else im not gonna mention here :cry: so i will change my exam date, i might even need a surgey because of the problem,, so guys pray for me please,,,,,,, :cry:

saria,take care of ur health,think one thing at a time,if u can postpone the exam,its good,just think,now u'll have a bit more time for studying,we will all pray for u,everything might seem hard now,bit in a matter of time,everything will fall in place,have confidence,relax,take care.

thank you so much guys,, never seen such nice people like im seeing over here,,, well as for me, i haven't touched a book in 3 days,, actually i couldnt,,, my problem was sitting for long times without any moving so i got a very bad lower back pain which i will be seen the doctor for tommorow inshallah, so from there i will get to know when i will be taking it again but hopefully soon, i might mkae it 2 or 3 weeks later, honestly it got to me,, its not the first time though, once b4 it happened , also b4 a very important exam but back then it was a a headache(the worst headache of my life)lol and no it wasnt beri anurysm, so dont you guys worry ,, anyways, hopefully all you guys do well on your exams and all my prayers with you guys and for you my new friends thanx alot and i will let you know how it goes tommorow with the doc..... peace and god with with all of ya ...

rest for a while, take a break and yes, push your exam to a later sched. you're worth more than the test!

Mash said it all about your health being more important than anything else, but I'll say it all and then some: this test is a battle of wills as well as minds. My back and my knee bothered me something wicked the other day. I am absolutely convinced it is the pressure of this test. It is VERY real. Just do it, dear. Hang in there, and just do it.
Take the NBME test, and take it very seriously indeed. You can pretty much elieve the results--they correlate pretty well, if not perfectly, with people's final scores from what's been posted here and on SDN. IF your score is good enough on the NBME, just go in with confidence and beat the crap out of this miserable test. :evil: :evil: :evil:
Yes, this is torture. Just take it if your ready without prolonging your agony. I am sure your pain is very real. And appears on MRIs. And so on. But nothing gives miraculous healing as well and as fast as the score we want on the USMLE. Take that to the bank, Saria23. It's pure gold.

hey namf, thanx alot for your advice,, it means alot but my problem is more than just a back pain, i had that for a while and i was ignoring it,,,,, as i mentioned i might be doing a small surgery next week and thats why im gonna have to change my exam day maybe about 2 week,, but you are right,,, hopefully when i get to take it, i will be better just by knowning that its over for step1 .. thax again but one last quetion,, i was trying to find the test on the nbme website and i cant,,, i searched the whole website,,, where ist under please?

On nbme site go to self assessment services and you will get it.

Hi saria!!!
take your time, it's very important to feel in one's best condition to take the test, I was about to take it 5 months ago, then I got terrible sick, for about two months I didn't take a book eventhough I was almost ready, but once I felt recovered, retook my way, did a reviewing and took the test, fortunately I passed 217/88, not thes best score but I am happy.
So my advice to you is that if your body is really asking for something take care of it, you will get better soon and i am sure you will succeed.
