Can anyone tell how to use the goljan audio? I got two Cds with some audio lectures and lectures notes. Is there any book from Goljan that I have to use to follow the cds.? Thank you for information.

there's no book that corresponds to his lectures and I have been having the same problem... I guess something that works for me is to just take occasional notes of what he's saying when you start to slack off... It doesn't have to be legible or anything, just something to do while you're listening to him.... The lecture notes should be read b4 and after... but prolly not while he's speaking cuz his lectures are best for bringing different subjects together, not for making one subject stronger...

I did patho from BSS-it is by goljan- after the audio(my audio is 2001 and BSS 2000) , u find almost every thing he says in his audio in BSS so ididnt have to read the notes I made with the audio,

but if u have 300, 500 goljan pages, I saw in different forum people say that

" the audio follow these notes and u can get the scanned notes on ebay for about 10 bucks"

I wanted to help.

There are some Goljan notes on the website: usmleforum.org --> scanned ones.

Do they correlate to audio or any book of Goljan?

Thx.

Hi MEL,
Goljan's Lectures (audios) are in integrated form ...he explained lots of concepts related with pathology .So,even his notes doesn't follow what he taught during his lectures.I think ,because Kaplan and few other courses have audios with lecture notes so, maybe this is the reason why everybody looking for Goljan's Lect. Notes ?Yes, there are his Notes but still you can't go along with those while listening ...in other words these notes are not organized but has everything in there. So,,at one time you can do only one thing..Listen OR Read wink
If you want ,you can join tonight's Goljan's chat at 9 pm in forum's chat room.
Maybe it will help.

Thanks

Guys,
It's like this...you listen as if you are in the classroom.

Make a few points (imp. ones such as headings)

Listen to them as frequently as possible...since he explains very well.

Then try Robbins...just soaks in...at least it worked for me!

Long live Goljan!

Bye.
