My turn to contribute. I've visited this site throughout my preparation and it was very useful for me because it allowed me to stayed focused and aim high. It doesn't cost a penny to dream, and all actions always start with a dream, so always aim as high as your mind can go!!! IMG Preparation time: 3.5 months full time, took a few days off in between Kaplan 7-week live lectures (highly recommended for IMGs) with lecture notes First aid: did it only because everyone does it, but I didn't find it very helpful You guessed right, UW: 69% started with 58% to start, 86% in some of the last blocks (all random and unused) NMBE 1: 700 (256) --> very good predictor!! Real deal: 252/99 (just received score today and I'm very very happy) Study hard, give your mind and soul to the exam and you'll do amazingly well!! Good luck to you all, and thanks for sharing your experiences. "chance favors the prepared mind" Louis Pasteur

hey guys my turn now score 252/99 exam date : 10/12 result reported on 7 th nov. i prepared around 9 months, amongst that 2 months shear wastage of time thanks to ECFMG for not clearing my step 1 application. i used kaplan notes and new rapid review by goljan for patho. read everything 4 times apart from the last days revision( which was worthless for me as i had to read every thing in a short period of time). did UW in 12 days- 75 % correct, all timed and unused mode.( could not revise it properly which is a must!) KAPLAN Q BANK: 75-80 % USMLE cd- 47,46, 40 NBME form 3: 670/800, 252 didnt do NBME form 1,2,4which i think should be done given that few qs from nbme do feature in real exam. NBME is a very good predictor
this forum has contributed immensely to my prep and i thank all of you for that good luck to every 1 out here.
