Appeared in Step 1 exam on june 25th 2006 in Islamabad,Pakistan.
usmle score : 215/ 87
online Qbank: 60% overall(i started very early in my prep and was scoring low, but i was consistently scoring 75% plus in the final blocks two weeks before exam..i had q bank for 3 months).
Qbook: 80% plus on PathoPhys, 70% in the rest.
USMLE CD: over all 72%.
i studied for a year, full time, in dear ol CPSP library, Karachi. used all kaplan books except Patho (BRS). practiced alotta questions, repeatedly. i was hoping for a higher score , just like the rest of us, but lets face it. everybody studies for a 99, and not everyone gets a 99. i performed bad in Statistics and cuz it wasnt fresh enough on exam day. but i am going for internal med and hoping my score will get me there (i).
i performed well in cardiovascular and genetics. biochem also. guys, study like your life depends on it. in the end its all worth it. there are so many high scorers on this thread, and they've shared alot of quality tips. i want to thank them all. get motivated and then REMAIN motivated. good luck to u all. my respects to everyone who forfeits his/her right to a laid back life, and studies for 11 hours a day for several MONTHS to get this done. regardless of your scores, you're all heroes.
(but bear in mind, Program Directors arent looking for heroes, they're lookin for high scorers! and you WILL be one)

NIIIIIICE!!!, it's finally my turn, I've been waiting to write here for a long time. I love this thread, as it comforted me when I was in doubt of where I'd actually be on Step 1, according to others' scores. It's not a big score, just average, but I'm okay with that, it's just a test after all, right?
So here we go...
STEP 1 taken: Aug 24, 2006
STEP 1 reported: Sept 13, 2006
STEP 1 received: Sept 20, 2006 (which felt like forever, but mail sucks over here)
STEP 1 score: 88/218
NBME form 2: 460 (taken 6 weeks before)
NBME form 3: 500 (taken 4 weeks before)
USMLE CD: 38/40/40 (3 months/ 1 month/ 2 days)
Q-bank, ended up in the 70%-80% range avg.
BSS (Board Simulator Series) books (did 3 out of the 5), 60-63% avg.
Blackwells 350 Q test (http://www.lww.com/medstudent/usmle/), all in one setting, 2 months out. 73%
I didn't sleep one wink the night before, but drank 4 Tab energy drinks throughout the day of the exam, and ate chocolate after every break. My exam was evenly distributed, I felt like it was probably an easier version, but maybe that's why my score isn't in the 90s. I was shooting for 90s, but I guess it didn't happen. I felt good coming out of the exam, I felt like I was in the 90s. Some people feel awful coming out, and still get 97/240. To get a hard version of the exam isn't always a bad thing. NBME's are the best predictors. You might hope for a miracle, but most likely it will hover right around your NBME.

exam on 30th august
score reporting on 20th september
step 1 score 90/222
not a very good score i think, but i m happy
i was not able to sleep for a single minute, night before exam
my NBME score ...form 1...510...12 days before exam
read only kaplan lecture notes,Qbank,Q book
and goljan audio lectures for pathology,Dr goljan makes u feel that
pathology is not that difficult.

step 1 score 96/237
usmle world 64%

NBME form 2 one week before 580 correlates to 236

hello al... its been very tiring.. waiting n waiting.. 'm a M3 currently studyin in india..'l write in detail abt my prob wid d official work up in exp.. but d scores..
i looove dis thread.. helped me keep my target high.. though depressed me many times...

Hello, I have never posted, but I know the site gave me the confidence to do well on the big day. The more scores once can compare to, the better one can assess their performance.
100% Kaplan Qbank completed at 65%
100 of First Aid Qbank completed at 75% (Started after Kaplan Qbank)
In my opinion, the First Aid Qbank was more similar to the actual USMLE than Kaplan Qbank
7/5/06 NBME #3 = 440 (204)
7/10/06 CBT = 111/150
7/24/06 NBME #2 = 480 (214)
8/16/06 NBME #4 = 550 (230)
USMLE Step 1 = 225/91

took my exam on sept 20th
score reported on oct 11th but showed up on ECFMG on Oct14th
STEP 1 SCORE 99/247
kaplan Q bank average 82%,finished 1 month before the test
kaplan simulated 81% / 1 month before test
NBME form 1 580/2month before test
NBME form 2 600/1month before test
NBME form 3 600/2 weeks before test
NBME form 4 580/5 days before test

NBME I and II 5 weeks before the exam: 320 in both
USMLEWORD after this terrible results of NBME: started on low 40s and finished on 55-60%.

I thought this day would never come!! But here I am 
Qbank: 76%/100% completed (3 weeks before the exam, random, timed mode)
NBME 1: 600/240 (10 days before the exam).
USMLE CD: 39, 44 nd 42 (5 days before)
Kaplan simulated: 78% (2 days before)
USMLE STEP 1 --> 240/97 (taken on October 4th)

kaplan simulated: 64%
usmle CD: 77%
NBME form 4: 530 (correlates to 226) - did this 1 month before the exam

score report received : 13th nov
step 1 score : 241/97

before I take step 2 ck ( which I took before step1) I red path and pharm and neuroanatomy
then I studied for 2 1/2 month only with a lot of time wasted, only red kapaln once with no videos or lectures.
Studied all UW questions well and ended with 67%
nbme 1 : 530 ( two weeks beofre)
nmbe 4 : 560 ( one week before) yes this is nmbe 4 not 2
nmbe 2 : 540 ( about 4 days before )
nmbe 3 : 580 ( about 2 days before)
after every exam I searched for the answers for the questions as much as I could
did few question in kaplan q book mainly some anatomy
I also sent an exam experience just before I finished

silly me I forgot to mention that I got 241 / 97 in real exam
I just want to note that I studied little for this exam because I had most of the info from my vigourous step 2 ck so. also I was time restrained because I was planning to go for 2008 match then I discovered that I can't waste a year so compressed every thing to go for 2007 match. and thanks god I got 241/97 on step one and 246/99 on step 2 ck. and took the CS yesterday although well not have my result tell 30 jan

score: 99/248 ( nov.17)
usmle cd: 90% (3 days before reall test)
kaplan q bank: 68-82%
Kaplan Simulation: 77%(1week before real test)
Kaplan QBOOK: 75-80%
NBME1: 84(4 months before test)
NBME2-4: all downloaded questions. around 80% (answers are confirmed with other people)
I missed around 5-7 easy questions in the real test. That's why my real score is 9 points lower than the predicted one(257).

Kaplan QBank (during 2nd reading): 67% done; 79% cumulative performance. Last few blocks were oround 85%
USMLE WORLD QBank (last four weeks): ~80% done; 79% cumulative. Last few blocks were around 75% - very strange!
NBME form 1: 790 (265) - knew few questions from this forum
