It is stated in Kaplan that Interstitial Fluid contains 0.1% of total calcium and intracellular fluid contains 1 % of total. But then it is written that Calcium concentration in interstitial fluid is 103 to 104 times higher than Intracellular concentration.
Thats confusing me. Can anyone explain this thing?
Thanx

0.1% is in interstitial fluid only but when u add the calcium present in bone then it makes a big figure, and calcium in bone is not located intra cellularly, so when u compare it with intracellular portion then it is 103-104 times more than it.
