I frequented this site alot before testing, so I thought I would share.

Goljan was my pathology professor, so I think I had a leg up there, but I did not go to an MD school, so I was hurt in most other areas. I studied:

Princeton review (big book) - Cracking the Boards
Goljan path
Lange Pharm and Micro/Immuno
FA
Some other assorted books (step up, etc.)
QBank (72% overall, 58-84%)
NBME assessments!!!! (640, 680)

My score: 258/99

I am pretty pleased. Congrats to all that passed, and to all the great scores out there. Thanks for all the help.

congrats! thats a great score.

congrats, idio! you're one of the nice sdn-ers and you truly deserve this score with all your hard work. also, you are incredibly lucky to have goljan as a lecturer. give him a big kiss for me next time you see him (unless it pisses him off that his lectures are available). do you know if there are step 2 lectures out there?

Congrats
u wrote u r pretty pleased, that sounded like an understatement. come on man u did it, show some emotion. really happy for u. good luck in future. grin
how much physio did u get? equations (renal, respiratory, cardiac etc.) graphs and what was helpful in answering those questions in your experience.

  #7

My physio was the worst subject. Renal was really tough (only about 10 questions though), but it seemed like endocrine (especially thyroid) was very high yield. ABout 30% of the pics were difficult, I thought.

For most of the really tough questions, they are usually easy concepts couched in very difficult wording. This is where I think non-natice english speakers have more difficulty. Usually the straightforward questions are hard in substance, but some questions are hard through wording.

Congrats!!!!- I knew from the beginning that you were special and that you'd do well. Thx for all the help. smiling face

I had maybe 5 -10 questions total over immuno/cell bio
My genetics were few and easy
Neurology was very minimal

I have heard of people getting some tests that were heavily weighted towards cell bio however, so be prepared.

75% of my test could have been answered with full knowledge of PATHOLOGY

Good luck
