Does skin have parasympathetic stimulation? Thanks!!

Namf

i think NO, as sweat glands have symp cholinergic innervation, cant recall any other structure in skin having parasymp supply

sebaceous and pilli muscles also sympathetic

what other 2 structures in the body have only sympathetic n. supply ?

  #4

1) Sweat glands
2) cardiac smooth muscle
3) Uterus
4) Vein smooth muscles

-in the last 2 parasympathetic response is made by sympathetic withdrawal

BumbleB, i know its a type but i would still like to point it out that people donot misunderstand, cardiac muscle is NOT a smooth muscle.

I think "cardiac smooth muscle" refers to the smooth muscle cells lining the cardiac blood vessels - like the tunica media of the coronary artery.

hiwa i don't think so that sabecous has sympathetic innervation.
kidney
sweat glands
adrenal medulla and
pilo motor muscle has only sympathetic innervation.

if i m wrong correct me.
thanx.

pili muscle surround the hair follicles as well as the seb gland when contracted by sympathetic flow cause errection of the hairs, such as in emotional situations !!! as well as squeezing the sebum to the surface of the skin, not very high yield topic, any way forget it
