Hi! I am an IMG from India. My husband is a citizen and I have applied for my greencard which I should be getting in 6 months or so. Currently I have a work permit(EAD). I have tried calling up different residency programs but no one has ever accepted a doctor in a pending status like me before, they have never heard of EAD, they say I need to have a greencard otherwise I can't apply. Is anyone out there in a situation like me or does anyone have any information about this. Please help me I am in a lot of tension.

An EAD is the next best thing to a green card. You can work on it.
Congrat's - it's good news for a residency program. When you call program, assume that they will accept it!
