P=1 if the frequency of Q is negligible. If there are more than one alleles P NEVER equals one but for working out equations it is easier to factor in 1 than 24/25 (0.96), especially for MCQs The smaller q gets the bigger p gets until it approaches 1

Thank you Ahab for your timely reply. I am sooooooooo sorry replying late. My exam was on 30th july, and I didnt get time to do anything before my exam. I was confused about P and q values, but after reading your mail this point was clear to me. Thanks a lot! Good luck in your studies.
