what do u mean by primary care or categorical internal medicine when u apply for residency in internal med??????? i see these 2 thigns when i research hospitals. what is the difference between the two???

Primary care will have a little more clinic time than categorical. There is no real difference between the programs.

Also, primary care is intended for those who obviously want to practice primary care, so if you want a fellowship, this is not for you.
