A guy eats cheese at a party and his heart rate races ect. What drug causes this rxn?
diphenyldramine
enalapril
imipramine
nitro
tranylypramine

I think your referring to *Tranylcypromine.
You can also get that crises if MAOs are given with meperidine.
I go with the pneumonic TIP or TIPS.
Also any Excessively stored food will be high in tyramine
eg. isocarboxazid, phenelzine

Could you give me an example of the foods you are talking about?

There is a long list but Ill start:
red wine,chicken liver, beer, foods that are stored.
Also if you do a search-we beat this into the ground maybe 2 or 3 months ago
