Influenza vaccine

Greatest prevention of RESPIRATORY morbidity is associated with flu vaccination.
Lung should be protected first in AIDS as they harbour many other opportunistic infections later. Count is still 800. so its not bad.
remember to start prophylaxis

if CD4 < 500 - START ANTIRETROVIRAL
if CD4 < 200 - TMP-SMX for P.carinii & toxoplasmosis
if CD4 < 100 - Clarithromycin for MAC(atypical TB)
if CD4 < 50 - Ganciclovir(CMVretinitis)
