Hi, i read everything on this forum and love how people are so helptul. I actually took my exam end of june and oasis just reported my score, but when i tried the trick, i didn't see a red screen, but rather it lets me continue with step 1 registration. Does that mean i failed, please at this point, any info will be greatly appreciated, i am literally broken..... :cry: :cry: :cry:

I don't know much about this OASIS thing, but I had a friend who took his exam in May. Then he calls me up few weeks after he takes it saying he failed because he was allowed to register for Step 1. Well, when he got his scores, it indicated he had passed. So, maybe there's a glitch in the system. I say, don't panic...wait until you actually get your report. My prayers are with you...stay calm.

Hmm, I never tried to register again for step I. I tried for Step II CS once early on (before my score was reported), and it wouldn't let me register, but I can't remember at what point it did that. I may have had to go through several screens to get to the point it stopped me. I would say if the score has been reported, then try registering for step II CS. It will kick you out before you get to the payment stage for sure. If you get that far, you passed. You could try that for step I too I think. Just make sure you get up all the way until the end screen before deciding you have really failed. Maybe someone else knows more about this than I do???

don't be all broken yet!!! let's say that test has a high specificity but low sensitivity. or is it vice versa?? i dont' know anymore! in other words, if you got the red screen, congrats, you passed, but if you didn't, you need further info bf ruling out passing.

Other people are posting that they passed even though the OASIS trick made them think they didn't. Don't lose hope!

hi guys, thanx for the kind words, but i received my score, and oasis was right, i got a 71/174. Now i am not sure what to do, i spend three months first by reading thru everything in kaplan, then taking the video course and reading thru it again, i did do questions but i did them in the beginning and every nite would do some, but never really sat down and did like 100 in a row, and then my last week, i did only FA. I am not sure where to start now. Oh and i listened to maybe three or four lectures from goljan, now i know should have finished him. So what do you guys suggest. This is my plan, read thru kaplan once, prob will skip anatomy cuz i'll do that in FA, and then do goljan and only qbank and questions over and over again. Please if you guys have any comments about this, i would really appreciate them. Thanx a lot!!!!

You are really close to passing, so don't lose hope. I think you have a good plan. Maybe 1 or 2 weeks before your test, you should sit and do the NBME or a block of questions in Kaplan to see just how you are doing. Use that score to assess how you will do on the real exam. For you though, I think one more read through things and doing questions will pull you way above passing. You were almost there on this test, and now you know what to expect next time. I know you will rock the test!!!

thanx retroviridae, and i wanted to congratulate you also for your great score. I am just trying to figure out now when is the best time to do goljan, now, or near the end, so if anyone could help, thanx a lot guys!!!
