So I just wanted to post this in case anyone else was worried. I sent in my diploma and only when they sent me a letter telling me they also needed my transcripts did I send those in too (I didn't know about the new rule, I have been planning to sit for several years, so my knowledge was out of date... what do they do with the transcripts anyway?). Well, my diploma was verified in a month, but my transcripts according to OASIS had been sent on April 26 with no apparent response from my medical school. I was sure it had been lost in the mail and I was getting ready to call them and tell the ECFMG to just send it again. Well, yesterday they posted that it was received back on May 20. So that means they are 2 months late in posting that onto the website. So don't get worried if your credentials don't appear to be getting done. But I would still advise applying very very early for this sort of thing.

thanks a lot for the info! its really helpful! i submitted my first application to ecfmg one week ago, and on oasis they say they haven't received my credential yet. was worried about it, but now since you say so, am feeling much better. good thing is that i did enclose my transcript with diploma, so hope that'll save some trouble.

I should also add that it took 16 days for them to process my application for the test from the time I mailed it (overnighted it actually) to the time it appeared on OASIS.
