in renovascular hypertension due to blockage of one right renal artery, where is the renein level increased?Right renal artery or vein?

  #2

Renal vein, or is this a trick question?

  #3

even i thought it was renal vein

  #4

well from the question , it appears to be Artery b/c everyone would naturally fall for Vein!! but if there is any explanation please let us know. Why would it matter anyway ?

This image from hopkinsmedicine.org is better than an explanation.
Renin goes in the afferent arteriole; no veins in juxtaglomerular apparatus.

this explanation sounds good but again look at the wordings of question: renal artery or vein?? its true that renin 1st enters the afferent arteriole but where u would be able to measure it?? renal artery (retrograde??) or vein??
