when did you sent out I-183. It took me about 6-8 weeks get orange permit. What I did is go ecfmg.org, then oasis, then go to oasis, your usmle/ecfmgid# and password, login, all your information is there. check application information on the left colum, it will show you the status. either in processing or accepted. If it is accepted, you will get the permit soon in your mailbox. Hope this will help.

Finally now again was on regular studies today.

Feel so good people getting good scores on this forum.
So what today i did is,i tried to understand the statistics formulas by heart,i know they wont ask me calculations,but somewhere i was not comfortable at all.That is a subject i never did well in school also.
It took pretty long.Took helkp of a friend,tried to teach him. :wink: hope he hasn't gone mad till now.
Did the questions from rapid review series,they are good.
Thanks aish!!!You really gave me a good deal for that.I wouldnt have gone for the ebay guys.Though you were not having the cd to sell,i think i am just fine with these questions in book only.

Yo Josh, I can't wait for you to drop a bomb on that hog! Keep crankin', and finish strong on gameday. I read your posts, and it looks exactly like what I would of written, scores and everything. You are armed with some serious artillery, and I am counting on you to nail this exam.
btw, good idea w/stats. I kinda got the feeling that I never truly understood stats until I memorized the formulas. After I did that, the relationships between them became much clearer, and that's the key... the relationships, and concepts. Just so you know, most of my calculations, 5 I think, were spec/sens type calculations, and a hardy-weinberg.

Thank you vikrama,i will keep writing this little diary.Basically it is just to keep myself on the track ,as i get distracted easily from my goal.Its ood to hear that somebody can get inspiration.

There wil be lot of obstacles in the path towards success ,they can be in any form.Dont let them win you.Just stick to the studies,try to do more and more better,improve everyday.
Yes.i should try to improve everyday,thats how i will survive in the life.If i wont ,i will be left behind.
So now just thinking about the ways to improve more and more.
So the plan is,dont keep anything weak....nothing,try to master the things which you feel are difficult!!!

Good morning all!!!
So yesterday i did genetics from kaplan notes plus did some useful links .Anybody want to suggest any good book???
Is high yield series is good for genetics??mol bio???
I know now i should just stick to one material,its not a time to ask material.But ecfmg guys have asked me to send few documents agin,i guess it will take time.
:evil: feel crazy when think about it!
So i want to do few questions now with genetics,lot of hady weinberg thingy.want to get rid of all the fear about mol bio and genetics guys.

Goodmorning!
Yesterdy i finished few questions in qbank plus IV qbank.
I found IV qbank little different,not similar to the questions in qbank or nbme.i have decided to finish it also.I have BSS still left.Will plan to do it if possible.
Still waiting for green signal from ecfmg,it will take time now.So meanwhile i just dont want to forget the things which i read 1 month back.
keep revising.
I am so bored now...i dont feel like openeing those kaplan books,but nothing should make me lazy.i will have to go and revise.Read,repeat,reacall,revise.....yes revise and revise and revise.
no stopping.

josh, don't lax!!! i know the feeling. the longer the delay seem to be, the more lax you could become! don't fall into that trap! keep going! don't think about the ecfmg. work as if you're pushing for the 27th as originally planned!

thanks bm,yes i am just keeping myself motivated with everything.
HI modhago,As per my knowledge high yield is a good book.But kaplan is also sufficient.Esp the last chapters are good for the doctor-patient relationship questions.
It depends how much time you have.I just wanted to move in fast so i preferred kaplan.
and about behavioural science,the more questions you will solve ,it will be more better.

today i have decided to revise biochem from my webprep.
i had liked it,when i had done once.The more different way i will revise, will keep me fresh.
i dont know when i will decide on the date.
whenever i wil get the ecfmg permit,i will require..atleast 8 days of mind prepration ,i guess.Will do only FA in those days.
back to my qbank for now.

Was just freaking out yesterday.
Its not going well since last week ,guys.I dont get any stimulus to touch these books now.
what i do is,just solving few questions(not more than 50-60)
looking here and there,in non high yield topics.or putting few things in google ,and reading some research papres.
I am really freaking out now.
I dont want to lose anything,getting nervous.
I will have to amke some bounding timetable or i will start forgetting the stuff.
what should be the plan?
shall i wait for few days,for the permit?
or should take some action plan,assuming a new date???
what should be the next date?i think i will get next slot now,as they are processing my application now.
totally confused and frustated.I wish to o lot of things,plan it,but m mind just wonder here and there.

I think you should wait for a permit , may be call them again next week? But I am sure it's on the way.Just be patient sometimes things do not go on our way as God already has plans for us .So relax and everything gonna be OK.
Yes it happens sometimes when you feel sick of books :x and everything regarding MLE this is the time to HAVE FUN and forget it for a while.
Go somewhere do something walk , play , talk , do anything to charge your brain again for tommorow .

hey josh..i'm going thru the exact some stage,i must have wasted abt 3-4 days the last week..could not concetrate on anything...havent been able to focus..the anxiety starts to creep in which makes it harder...this forum is great..makes u feel better..its probably normal in the process of studying for the MLE..when is your exam?i'm going thru pharm too..hope we're able to get thru this..

i gave quick revision to kaplan pharmac.wanna do again with FA,just to give the finishing touches.
Again was going through the book"road to usmle"pharmac.But still cant compare the book ,beacause for me i dont have lot of time and patience to go through.But it can be usefull to some beginner,ofcourse If he doesnt want to read katzung.
Want to make as much use of the FA as possible.
and ye,qbank seems to be very boring but i should keep doing it,to have practise of thinking in that way.

I am enjoying the last 2 days of qbank.
Will be finished with it then.
Still no letter from ecfmg.
Its my fault,i should have done this before only,but i was just waiting for getting ready with the preperation.I was not sure how much time it will take for me.
I will work for nother plan from now.
I will have to revise everything or i will just forget the things.
I wont have q bank enceforward,i dont want to buy one now.
had once through with my own.
Now i am gonna buy the cd on ebay.
hope it will be good for revsions.
i will take a small break,wanna go canada to meet parents.I have the booking also,but ont know how much time to spend there We are planning for a family vacation ..mostly will be roaming around with few friends to some places like Niagara .i am planning to be back in a week.
But,yes,one of my professor use to tell me,even if you are on vacation you should read something everyday or it will be hard to be back on schedule afterwards.
So i will keep revising there also.And yes will be a reular writer of my little diary.Need some scoldings from my mother for all wastage of time for last few days.
My plan now (i know ,i was just freaking out for last few days)

EVERY NIGHT 100 questions

all images and slides

Revise as many questions
Hopefully by that time i will have my permit
will go for exam then......

Ye,right form ontario friends!!!
I am doing immunology today.
will kill it for the last time.The orange permit has reached to my US residence yesterday only.
So this is a time to atttack....last chance.will brush up everything.
last few days laziness and anxiety.I will have to come over it.
This is the last revision and last chance to ace this exam.
Right now i am with my parents and will be back in next week.
Now i reqire good concentration,good intensity and motivation.
