Tips on how to choose residency programs – by IMGexperts.com
“What is my chance in getting into a US residency program?” Almost all IMGs wonder aloud this question – Here are a few tips from pros which might increase your chances of success:
A. Aim high – many IMGs might be intimated by prestigious residency programs which are very competitive among US applicants. However, if you have a very strong background including superior USMLE scores, US clinical experience, and communication skills, don’t sell yourself short. Apply to top programs, too! D. Learn more about each program - Most residency programs have specific minimum requirements for IMGs. You need to know them intimately so that you can be better equipped to meet these requirements.
