In Kaplan it says that neither previous disease nor vaccination prevents from future development of pertussis...yet on the same page it says that children who developed pertussis are exempted from further pertussis vaccines
I remember reading in Microbiology, once u get pertussis, u have life long immunity from it...Any comments??

Only if you was ill by the pertussis you still have life long immunity, but if you recieve ones the vaccine you still have a chance to get pertussis.
