Take Webprep. It won't hurt, and it's refreshing to get away from the book and just listen to a lecture on the pc, it's like an extra revision and they do have points in those lectures that are not in the traditional books like BRS.patho.....

OH I WISH i was done...................NO not done. Am sailing in your boat, trying to get focused. I've seen some of your posts, how many kids do you have.? Where are you from....I did my mbbs in Pakistan almost 2 yrs. ago and I am a stay at home mom for my 2 and a half yr. old. I just started studying like a few months ago and I got these cd's because a friend bought them (don't know for how much) and made me a copy. I am not even finished doing them..it'll be at least 1-2 months. When I replyed on the forum about how much I 'got them for' it was because somebody here was asking how much webprep cost and I guess I replyed out of joy that I got mine free!! Anyway.,,....um if you are still interested when I'm done then maybe we can work something out. I have no idea how to copy these cd's.........And that's the reason I didn't tell any of my 'friends' (also taking step 1) cuz they would die for them too...... :-)

Thanks for the reply. Well I am also a stay home mom with 3 kids. My eldest son is 10, then 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son, so you can see my hands are full mashallah. I am from Karachi, and have been here in Nebraska with my husband for the past 9 years. Now that my baby is "big" I decided to go back to the life I left behind a decade ago. Actually I have no regrets, I am enjoying the studing part as I can do that while staying home and hope to pass my exams by the time my little one is in kindergarten. My sister also has a 2 year old also from SMC, if youre from the samew college you might know her. Sometimes I feel its a small world, other times its hard to reach anything. But if we all stick togather then we can all overcome our personal challenges and acheive graet success. Motivation is the key, and I am finding that at this forum. Best of luck to everybody.

Hi, well I will take it again in April or May. My plan is to revise everything first then register, as last time I ran out of my elligibility period. So just took the exam and Failed!! I am trying to build up my routine to 8-10 hours per day, thats the most difficult part. I was studing around 10-14 hours in the last 15 days before my exam previously, so I know I can stretch myself, but 2 months period kind of upset the morals and schedule. But stay motivated and focus and you will find your own schedule that really works for you, as soon as you find it stick to it. I made a fatal mistake by going by systems last time and then revising subjectwise, it got me into deep trouble while I was revising. So this time I am going subjectwise because you keep on revising and then it starts to stick. So when are u taking the exam?? Wish you all the best

End of August. I'm starting to study now and its back to the basics for me - I've been away so long. Its almost a leap of faith doing this - I feel my brains are fried but I figure I did graduate so surely my brains not that atrophied! I'm starting with Anat. I have the Kaplan notes etc and I requested to join a study group - I'm hoping that keeps me focused.

Sure, you are on the right track. After anatomy do the cell and molecular biology it will help. It takes a while before the brain starts to thaw, but once it does then there is no difference whether you just finished med school or awhile ago, all that matters is how you are processing the info you are trying to retain. It comes back , beleive me!!
